The Charter
A movement that asks for nothing changes nothing. The Do:With Charter is the short set of commitments an organisation makes when it joins - written to be specific enough that someone could tell whether you had kept them.
The final wording is being agreed with our founding organisations now. This is the structure we are working to.
Involve people before the options are drawn up, while the problem itself is still open.
Be clear, in advance, about what the community can actually change - and honour it when they do.
Lived experience is expertise. Budget for it the way you budget for any other expertise.
Publish what was decided, who decided it, and what changed because people were involved.
Treat shared power as a step, not a destination, and name what you are handing over next.
